Everything you need to know about Nodes - your daily companion for relaxed gaming while listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
Playing Nodes is wonderfully simple and relaxing! It's a mix of a vertex puzzle and a connect-the-dots game. Here's how it works:
Nodes isn't just a daily puzzle game — it's a satisfying mix of visual art and mindful interaction. Perfect for unwinding!
Nodes is specifically designed to enhance activities like:
The game keeps your hands busy and helps maintain focus while listening, making it the perfect companion for audio content. Plus, there's a new puzzle every day, giving you something fresh to look forward to!
You have several options to remove incorrect lines:
You can enable or disable the option to highlight incorrect lines in red through the side menu. Some players find it helpful to see immediate feedback, while others prefer the clean look without markers. It's entirely up to your personal preference!
While we don't currently have a dedicated Android app, you can install our website as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your Android device. This gives you an app-like experience with quick access and smooth gameplay. Look for the 'Add to Home Screen' option in your browser!
Yes! You can download our iOS app from the App Store here. While we currently can't sync Patreon and Apple accounts due to platform policies, we're working on a solution for the future.
Absolutely! You can easily toggle game sounds on/off through the side menu. We understand that many players use Nodes while listening to other audio content, so we've made sound control easily accessible.
Yes! We understand that not everyone wants to see stats while playing. You can easily turn off the stats & streak display through the game settings menu. This way, you can focus on enjoying the puzzles at your own pace without any pressure.
Yes! You can access all previous daily puzzles through our archive with a pro subscription. It's a great way to catch up on puzzles you missed or replay your favorites. The archive is organized by month, making it easy to find specific puzzles.
If you're logged in, the puzzles you complete are marked as completed on our servers. This helps keep track of which daily puzzles you've finished — even if you switch devices.
However, the in-progress state of a puzzle (partially drawn lines, unfinished shapes) is only saved locally on your device. For the mobile app, this state is preserved as long as the app remains installed. On the web version, it's stored in your browser — clearing your history or switching browsers will reset it.
We're working on improving cloud sync options in the future to make your daily puzzle experience even smoother and more connected.
Yes! If the puzzle colors look too faint or blend into the background, it might be due to the current theme setting.
You can easily switch between light and dark mode from the game's side menu. If you're using the light theme and some triangle colors appear too pale, switching to dark mode will make them more vibrant and easier to see.
The toggle is instant, so feel free to switch themes any time a puzzle image feels hard to read.
Our pro subscription gives you access to the complete puzzle archive plus 100+ exclusive extra puzzles! It's perfect for podcast binges or long audiobook sessions when you want more content to enjoy.
We love hearing from our players! You can reach us through:
Yes! Your subscription can be canceled anytime through the service you used to subscribe (Patreon or Apple). There are no hidden fees or complicated processes - you're always in control of your subscription.
A vertex puzzle is a type of logic or visual game where players connect points (vertices) to form shapes — usually triangles. In Nodes, each puzzle is built around connecting these vertices in the correct pattern to reveal a hidden image. It's a geometric twist on classic connect-the-dots puzzles, made for daily play.
Nodes is designed to complement your daily routine — whether it's a morning coffee break, a quiet moment during lunch, or a relaxing wind-down before bed.
We release a new puzzle every day, so a perfect time to play Nodes is right after you've completed your Wordle, Connections, or crossword. Many of our players tell us that Nodes has become their favorite way to cool down after finishing their word or logic puzzles.
Yes! It is not the most challenging puzzle though! You create each image by connecting dots to form triangles — it's essentially a relaxing puzzle drawing process. Every puzzle starts blank, and the final image is revealed only through your connections.
Yes, NYT Vertex was officially discontinued by The New York Times on August 29, 2024. Many fans were disappointed by its removal, but you can still enjoy daily vertex-style puzzles by playing Nodes, a free alternative.
If you miss NYT Vertex, Nodes is a relaxing and visually rich alternative. It offers free daily puzzles where you connect dots to form triangles and reveal beautiful artwork.
