I wish there was a way not to be timed as I'm often interrupted and have to put the puzzle down. Just a thought as no one cares but me. I view these delightful puzzles as a wonderful pastime and a gift I give myself.

You'll probably never see this, but I plan on my laptop in Chrome Browser on Windows 11, and when I stop, even for a few seconds, the clock stops. I'm guessing you play on a different device or operating system. You're not the only one who cares, but you are the first person I've seen who has said the timer is not accurate. It's a shame - I get frustrated with NYT Sudoku when I do it quickly but forgot to pause it for an interruption, so I DO understand.
