“I found the painting online, zoomed in, and saw the poor bird was chained to the seed box. Then I kept looking up stuff about that era, and every single painting (by other artists), show the bird chained. The goldfinch apparently was very popular, and people taught them to fill up a tiny little bucket with water. We haven't progressed much, because so many put their birds in cages. IMHO. Glad Nodes removed the chain!”
