Still not 100% certain what this is. I’m guessing some kind of fighting fish from a top down perspective.

I had a hard time figuring out what it is, too. I guess it's a fancy goldfish, but that's not very clear.

Technically yes! A Beta Fish, easily recognized if you have had one, but puzzle was hard!!!
