The last week of puzzles have been so simple and - hate to say it but - boring. With no extra puzzle releases in over a month.. this app has been putting me to sleep lol

I'm sure there will be complaints about how short it was. When I shared the game in a NY Times comment section recently, some people said that they could rarely finish the puzzles (lack of time, playing with their kids who are not patient enough for a 800+ puzzle). So I think it's good the game cater to them sometimes, even if I wish it lasted longer than 3 minutes for me.

Exactly. So far I get the feeling that the puzzles are shorter at the start of the week and longer at the end of the week, which is very in keeping with the general NYT game design style too, and which I like!

Yeah, I'm one who would prefer larger puzzles more often than not. The past several days have presented relatively short puzzles, so I've been a bit disappointed. I love seeing a meaty 1000+ puzzle! Maybe add some new bonus puzzles that offset each very small or very large puzzle. That way there are some options for folks who need or want a particular level on a particular day.
