Beautiful. My favorite so far. Pretty sure this is meant to be a survivor of the tragic shipwreck depicted in The Raft of the Medusa. Nothing to do with Greek myth or the supposed appearance of imaginary heroes from 3000 years ago.

No way is that Perseus. (Until I saw AmusedShrew's comment, I misremembered that it would be Theseus, who killed a different monster, but still, no way was it he, either.) I checked Perseus on Google Images. He didn't have a beard.
