Burano

I've been here! It's even more colorful than you could imagine. Brings back fond memories. I believe this island is also famous for its glass as well

Lovely colours, beautiful reflections.

I wonder how that empty boat got to the middle of the waterway… and how they’ll get it back 😬

Love, love these colors! And thank you, once again, RelaxedLadyBug!

not heard of them referred to as gates; just islands. lived in lido.

I had a ton of trouble with this one considering the picture is all right angles. tricksy triangleses!

Hopefully those houses have some chinchillas in them. As the phrase goes, happy chinchilla, happy life.

Loved this one!

I was expecting lace, as in Burano lace, but the color was confounding me. Then I realized it was a town, and the lace is from the town. But a bonus fact! Burano (lace) is an island just off Venice, as is Murano (blown glass), which is closer to the lagoon. They and five others are named for the 7 gates of Venice. There are many small islands that early Italians fled to from the mainland to escape barbarians, and most remain inhabited today. Let's go to Italy! 🇮🇹🍝🍕 Bellissimo!

Toward the end, there was a very satisfying series of connections that seemed almost like a zipper. I'm not sure how else to explain it, but that was extra fun

Love this one!
