Galo de Barcelos

Portugal!!

🏳️‍🌈 of the day: Polyamory! Flags: 💙❤️🖤 with a yellow pi symbol in the middle, or 🩵🩷💜 with a white triangle on the left and a yellow heart. Polyamory describes people who want or have relationships with multiple people, with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. P.S. I love this guy’s hat, where can I get one??

Been playing Nodes for a few months now, so surprised and happy to see my country represented in a beautiful puzzle! 🇵🇹💕

muito bom! Wonderful!

me and the lads grabbin a cheeky nandos, innit

Thank you ladybug for the explanation. I couldn’t tell if this was a hornbill (hornbie) again wearing a fancy hat or maybe a Trojan rooster with a chinchilla hidden inside. But I’m glad to know this is a hero chicken instead so that guy could go on and continue stealing silver

There is a legend of "The Chicken of Barcelos." (in Portugal). Sort of an early Salem Witch Trials idea. A Pilgrim walking through Barcelos was accused of stealing silver from a resident, and condemned to hang! He asked for the judge, who was at a banquet, about to eat a roasted rooster. The Pilgrim said his innocence would be proven at the gallows, by the crowing of the rooster, and was taken away. The rooster got up and crowed, and the astonished judge rushed to the Pilgrim, saving him! 🐓🍗⚖️
